Backstory: Locth's past is shrouded in mystery. No one knows what he was up to before he joined Captain Gary Thrustwaist's crew. Or precisely when he joined. Since then however, his contributions to the group have been noticeable.

Name: Locth D'Out

Race: Human

History: Birth records show a Locth D'Out being born to Gorn D'Out and Eliya D'Out on the backwater planet Claden. Claden was attacked by Reavens ten years later, most of its population slaughtered. Six years after the Claden incident, Locth emerges as a known associate of Dowan Fect, the infamous Mortis Adept. D'Out is not present when Fect is killed in a SpaceSEC raid of his home a couple years later. At nineteen he is arrested for [information removed] and [information removed]. Sentenced to four years hard labor and registered as a sexual deviant. The number of accidents on Penal Colony 418 significantly increases after he begins serving his sentence. He is released two years early for good behavior and falls off the radar for several years. Reemerges as an adept-for-hire and freelance info dealer and gains a reputation for always getting the job done and not being a man to cross. D'Out was recently wanted for the murder of Ullian ambassador Fan Del Ta aboard the luxury liner Drisco's Star, having been the last person seen with the ambassador before Del Ta was mysteriously thrown out of an airlock. However, before an arrest could be made, a human woman confessed to the crime. She went through a quick trial and was executed.

D'Out recently fell in with Gary Thrustwaist [file RESTRICTED]. Developments have shown him to be very loyal to the Urson. See embedded vidfile.

Vidfile shows a female human reporter approaching D'Out. "So, you're new to Gary's crew. How did you come to join up with him?" she says.

He gives her a hard look. "The cap helped me out of a tight spot and offered me a place on his crew. Couldn't refuse, the way things were. He really did a lot for me." The reporter starts to ask another question, but D'Out, interrupting her with "excuse me," walks away.

Locth D'Out is current wanted for questioning in 156 low-priority cases, eighteen of which are homicide and a further thirty-six are missing persons cases. Officers are warned to approach with extreme caution. Officers are not to approach, as D'Out is now under protection as an employee of Gary Thrustwaist.

Psychological profile

Locth D'Out is a sociopath, that much is clear. His motivations while on SpaceSEC's watch have been consistently self-serving, with clear disregard for the law. Monsters are made, not born, however, and we can reasonably trace D'Out's origin back to the day Reavens attacked his home planet. Only twenty-five colonists survived the horrific slaughter out of three thousand. Reports indicate that he was found wandering the colony, half-starved and whispering, "I saw him, I saw him." It is unclear to what he was referring, but it is clear the attack changed him.

Over the years, he has shown a fascination with the idea of the Grim Reaper, a skeleton in a black cloak weilding a scythe. Death incarnate. This is most likely behind his choice to become a Mortis Adept.

The recent development with Gary Thrustwaist is very strange and warrants further investigation. Loyalty does not come easily to men like D'Out, if at all, and what Thrustwaist did for him would be of much interest.
